Warriors move back above.500 with a 137-114 victory over the Wolves.
This season, the Warriors' starting rotation has assisted Golden State in many strong starts, but on Sunday, they produced their best first-quarter showing of the year.
Performance of the year
With his feet on the throttle, Draymond Green ignited the proceedings. Green performed like he was shot out from under a shotgun against Minnesota.
The performance of green
The starting lineup consisted of two sluggish bigs, Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns. Every Timberwolves turnover resulted with Green directing the break in the opposite direction, giving the Dubs the upper hand.
The turnover result
The score was briefly evened at 15 thanks to a Wolves explosive burst, but Minnesota was unable to stave off the Warriors for very long.
The score and rank
Transfers and off-ball motion repeatedly forced Gobert as well as Towns out of possessions as Golden State's offence ran smoothly.
The Warriors had a tonne of open shots since the Wolves were without their top defensive defenders due to injuries.
The two minutes remaining in the first quarter, the Dubs went on an unbelievable 20-2 run and led 40-17 while scoring 80% from the field.
It appeared as though Golden State would win easily. The Wolves fell down 106-86 at the start of the fourth quarter after failing to get within 15 points at any point throughout the following two quarters.
